Biography: Kayla Baboolal
Kayla is a hereditary Caribbean Shakti Shaman, who was grateful and blessed to learn about spirit and healing from her Grandmother. Her spiritual journey began at the age of 3 with a near death experience resulting from a near fatal drowning, her ‘baptism’ into the Shamanic Arts. Since then, Kayla’s ability as a ‘Sensitive’ emerged as did her natural gift of healing, foreseen at the time of her birth by her Grandmother. Born as a ‘light shadow’, Kayla’s has always walked between worlds.
Her formal training began in the healing arts as a Reiki student. Intent to put time into her discipline, she took time between levels to gain experience before continuing on to her Master-Teacher Level. During this time, she began to incorporate her Grandmother’s teachings with her formal studies, and developed Shakti-Shamanic Usui Reiki.
Her training continued under Dr. Ismat Nathani as a TriDoshic Ayurvedic Practionner. Dr. Ismat Nathani is both the Director and Founder of CAISH, with a very special background in Nadi Vigyan. She graduated from India in Naturopathy and did her post graduate in the UK. She has pioneered the wisdom of Nadi Vigyan in the west and worked extensively with very prominent doctors and experts in the field of health care. www.caish.ca
Kayla’s divination interest also began at an early age, as she shared her Grandmother’s gift of visions through dreams, she has a strong connection to crystals for channelling, and a passion for tarot and palmistry as both an esoteric and healing art. An intuitive, she reads more than the cards, but the energy emitting from them.
Currently, she continues her healing studies in Ayurveda and as a Reiki Practitioner and teacher, she has expanded her studies to include formal training in yoga to better assist her students with the Ayurvdic-Yoga Dance, and is the founder of Mourning Tea Events, a new concept currently under formation to raise funds and supplies for local charities in Toronto.
